Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Prize (MOP CAP)
MOP CAP 2011 was a great success! The Finalists’ Exhibition at the Royal College of Art, London was extremely well attended and received a great deal of positive feedback. Shirin Sabahi was selected as the MOP CAP 2011 Winner and she has been awarded a solo-exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery during Frieze Week 2012! As this year’s Runner Up, Shahrzad Changalvaee will receive a residency at The Delfina Foundation in Summer 2012.

Upcoming Artist Residencies
Once again, in 2012, MOP will be collaborating with The Delfina Foundation to offer residencies to five Iranian artists: Ghazaleh Hedayat, Babak Kazemi, Pedram B, Babak Golkar, Shirin Sabahi, and Shahrzad Changalvaee.
We are pleased to announce two new partnerships with Gasworks and Visiting Arts. Residency programmes available to Iranian artists will be launched by Magic of Persia next year.
Artist Talks at the British Museum
Beginning in 2012, in partnership with the British Museum, Magic of Persia will be sponsoring two public programmes per year. These programmes will focus on contemporary and modern Iranian art and will feature Iranian artists, curators, and critics. These programmes will be ticketed and are open to the public.
