| 'Empowerment through Knowledge' Gala, 24th May 2006 |
| The benefit dinner at the Dorchester Hotel, London continued our tradition of gathering together our community and supporters to honour and recognise leadership and inspiration that further our mission. Funds were raised for the Omid-e-Mehr (Hope) Charitable Foundation and the Magic of Persia Education Programme. The honorary speakers were Lord Temple-Morris, President of the Iran Society, who is a great advocate of the work of Magic of Persia and Camila Batmanghelidj, Founder and Director of Kids Company, who presentd the work of Omid. Entertainment was provided by the legendary Pari Zanganeh and we all had occasion to dance to the popular songs of Andy and his band. To ensure the continuation of the British Museum for Young Audiences workshops, please donate to our Education Programme. |
