| Magic
of Persia (MOP), a
non-profit, non-political charity registered in the UK, educates young people on the value and unique
contribution of Persian culture to society. MOP achieves
its mission through the development and promotion of education
and communication programmes, in partnership with world-class
institutions. The programmes are designed to foster cultural
enrichment, which will improve global understanding and
harmony across religious and cultural divides. All these
are especially relevant today when it has never been more
important to learn, empower, communicate and respect achievements
and history across cultures. |

|
| In
addition, Magic of Persia awards
grants to humanitarian organisations that support the education
and development of women and children. We believe that the combination
of education and humanitarian support will provide a powerful
platform to develop and to profile the next generation of leaders.
Through youth focused programmes that make the history and
culture of Persia accessible, Magic
of Persia promotes
understanding and collaboration between individuals, businesses,
organisations and communities at a formative age. |
|
| Founded
in 2004, we are proud of our record of practical initiatives
and sustainable partnership formation. Our message has been positively
received and broadly disseminated through a strong foundation
and is continuing to build the organisation and its very valuable
support network. In the first 18 months, we provided educational
content and experiences focused on Persia to over 10,000 children
and their families. Our goal is to continue this partnership approach
through programmes that are designed to promote, to inform and
to inspire audiences through exposure to the traditions of Persian
history, literature, arts and customs. |
|
| The interactive learning experiences are additional
tools to be used in conjunction with school work. This should
be the compelling force for the history of the ancient Persian
Empire to be included in the school curriculum, in order to provide
a comprehensive understanding of the history of modern cultures. "Ancient
Persia is not taught today as part of the Ancient curriculum
in Britain, and that is very unfortunate."- John Curtis, The
British Museum. |
|
| We are dedicated to enhancing
the visibility of the persianate world. The charity's global
network of business leaders, organisations, academic leaders
and prominent individuals is solidly behind this vision. Our
culturally rich community has the ability to instigate and
create change in our society. Magic
of Persia also provides
a platform whereby supporters from around the world can meet,
learn and interact with each other. |
